|The Asian Network for Schizophrenia Research
In the 1st successful meeting of the 2009 Asian Workshop for Schizophrenia research, participating researchers have shared the need for exchanging information and collaborating in schizophrenia research in Asia. In recognition for this growing need for a forum for communication and collaborative work, the organizing members and active participants of the 2009 AWSR and the 2011 ACSR have agreed to form the Asian Network for Schizophrenia Research (ANSR) through the 2011 Asian Congress on Schizophrenia Research.
The Asian Network for Schizophrenia Research will be dedicated to
- Facilitating communication and collaboration on research and educational programs
- Promotion of evidence-based clinical psychiatric practice
- Supporting efforts for increasing correct public understanding of schizophrenia
- Advocacy of policies for the wellbeing of patients suffering from schizophrenia in Asia.
The organizing board of ANSR invites Asian researchers to join the Asian Network for Schizophrenia Research for advancing schizophrenia research in Asia together. Those in Asia who have a professional interest in research relevant to schizophrenia are eligible for joining.
Currently the foremost priority for establishing the network is in knowing active researchers in Asia and getting their contact addresses that can be shared with other members in the network. The Directory of ANSR is available online so that you can be found by colleagues and potential collaborators. Your e-mail address will be used to inform you for ANSR news and events. Please fill out and submit the form by clicking “Register” in the Directory of ANSR.
If you have registered for the congress, you may also find announcements and news, or leave any messages that you want to communicate or discuss with other ANSR members using the Message Board for Schizophrenia Researchers in the quick menu.
